# Environments

Digital ID provides sandbox and production environments. The API contract is
the same in both environments.

Use the sandbox environment for integration and tests. Use the production
environment for live traffic.

Privy issues API keys for a specific environment. A sandbox key does not work
in production, and a production key does not work in the sandbox.

allowlisting, and widget settings in each environment.
